Let's talk soup.

I think this buffalo chicken soup looks delicious - from BHG via Pinterest
I'm pretty sure I could eat soup every single day and never get tired of it. I've already made creamy potato soup, creamy chicken and wild rice soup and a few random canned soups for quick dinners (minestrone & tomato) this year. And it's only September 16th. I have many more soup making months ahead of me! I have chicken tortilla soup lined up for the weekend, but I'm always looking for new recipes! I do have a few saved on Pinterest, but I would like to know what your favorite soup, stew or chili recipe is or a soup that you are planning to make sometime this year.

So link up your recipes! :)

  1. The only soup my boys will actually eat is corn chowder - my husband's grandma's recipe. I should e-mail it to you :)

  2. I couldn't find your e-mail on your blog so I'm just going to put the recipe here - if it'll all fit! Sorry it's all in caps, I copied it from an e-mail ...

    CORN CHOWDER

    Ingredients:
    2 medium potatoes --diced
    2 medium carrots - sliced
    1 onion -chopped
2 stalks of celery - sliced
    3 bay leaves
    salt and pepper
    1can of creamed corn
    2 cans of kernal corn
    4 slices bacon
    3cups of milk
    1cup shredded cheddar cheese

    (1) CUT BACON INTO SMALL PEICES AND FRY (NOT TO HOT)IN THE POT THAT
YOU ARE MAKING THE SOUP IN. ADD THE CHOPPED ONION AND THE BAY LEAVES,
AND THE SLICED CELERY. WHEN BACON IS FAIRLY CRISP , DRAIN EXCESS FAT.
NOW ADD THE POTATOES,AND CARROTS AND COVER WITH WATER,( ABOUT 2 CUPS)
BOIL UNTIL POTATOES ARE DONE. ADD
THE CORN, BOTH KINDS THEN ADD THE MILK,( take a little of the milk
and wisk in about 2 tablespoons of flour to thicken and add to the
milk) NOW BRING TO A BOIL, WATCH THAT IT DOES NOT BOIL TO HARD THAT
IT WOULD BURN ON IN THE BOTTOM OF THE POT. ADD SALT AND PEPPER TO
TASTE. JUST BEFORE SERVING ADD THE SHREDDED CHEESE AND LET IT MELT
IN THE MIXTURE AND THEN SERVE AND IT WILL MELT IN YOU MOUTH!
