I've mentioned before that we moved to a new city in August and I haven't felt settled here yet. One reason is that we don't see our friends as often...we used to either live in the same city as them or a mere 1 hour drive away. I do have a few friends in our new city and I have been working on making more, but I need to initiate some "hang out" time soon or I will go stir crazy. I also tend to hibernate in the winter so I need to break out of that rut as well. Here's a list of things I would like to do by the end of the month:
- Go to Cocktails at the Conservatory with my sister-in-law and a couple girl friends. This is a local event that happens every Thursday...cocktails, appetizers and entertainment for $11. Next week features some spiced cider & a fire pit.
- Get some coffee with a friend. I am all about sitting and chatting with a peppermint mocha!
- Go to book club this month. We're discussing The Help by Kathryn Stockett, which I LOVED, so I really would like to make this a priority. Plus, we all know that the book only gets discussed for part of the time so chatting can happen for the rest!
- We haven't gone out to eat in awhile in an effort to save a little more money, but after this next pay day I would like to go out to a local restaurant with Jon. I do enjoy the fact that we live in a city that appreciates food and local restaurants and would like to utilize those opportunities a little more!
