See ya, August.

I think it's a pretty well-known fact that summer is not my favorite season. This summer has been especially brutal with high temperatures and unbearable humidity. I don't do very well in the heat and my son doesn't either. So, we have spent a lot of time indoors! I am looking forward to cooler temperatures so we can get outside a little bit more. But, here are some things that I have enjoyed this summer:

1. We kicked off summer with Jon's grandpa's 80th birthday party.

 2. I started food blogging again. And, in turn, made a lot of new recipes.

3. We had a great Father's Day cookout at my aunt and uncle's house. Sadly, we don't have any good pictures from this event!

4. I finally got my hair cut. Sorry for the picture quality - camera phone!

5. I watched a lot of Olympics, especially gymnastics and swimming.

6. We enjoyed a lot of random hangouts with both family & friends. We also hosted our annual fantasy football draft lottery party. I'm not too happy with having pick #12 though.

7. Family trips to the park!

8. Most of all, I enjoyed hanging out with this little guy!
